A mini-DB built on JSON for Storage using NodeJS.
It uses packages like inquirer for interactive prompts, **caporal** for commands, cli-table3 for tabular outputs and chalk for colored outputs.
It has basic DB functionality and I will add more to it with time. It implements table storage with some what horizontal scaling/sharding approach.
JSON which stands for JavaScript Object Notation, is one of the most commonly used storage file type. It has wide applications ranging from API response data to Non relational DB Storage. It is most easy to use, can be easily convertible to JS objects. I have a good experience with handling JSON, so it was the best choice for me to choose as a storage type.

CSV or excel file types are bit more time taking and cpu intensive to process. Moreover, there is no native support for handling such files in JS which makes it need extra resources for processing and thus wastage of time and resources and thus not an optimal choice.

Databases are one of the most used services in the tech world. They have practical applications in every field. Just have the file systems and some methods to handle it, one can easily build his own Database with some basic functionalities of the major Databases.
